EZGel, the new thing in facial biostimulation with a natural volumizing effect
The years do not pass in vain. The skin undergoes changes and damage that cause aesthetic defects and signs of aging. What if you could reverse them?
Using a 100% natural way, without surgery or synthetic materials, and keep your face smoother and younger? Let me explain the facial biostimulation treatment with EZGel.
What is facial biostimulation?
What does it consist of and what benefits does it provide?
Biostimulation is a regenerative therapy which has been used for decades in facial aesthetic medicine to correct inestheticisms and signs of aging.
What is it based on?
Basically we induce repair processes of the skin at the cellular and molecular level. As if those imperfections, those little wrinkles, those folds… were “wounds” and we activate the body to “cure” them.
Do you know collagen and elastin? They are the proteins that give our skin firmness and flexibility respectively. Over the years they decrease and start to become less effective. Added to other changes, this is why the youthful appearance is disappearing day by day.
With facial biostimulation what we do is activate physiological mechanisms that lead to an increased collagen and elastin in quantity and quality. In this way we reverse (“heal”) that loss associated with age.
What benefits does this have?
-
- Reduces sagging and increases elasticity.
- Reduces wrinkles and furrows and expression lines.
- Rejuvenates and revitalizes the face
- Improves texture of the skin.
It is a very safe treatment with long-lasting results.
Besides, it softens scars and marks (due to acne, for example). For the same reason, because it stimulates regeneration processes. There are many studies that talk about the parallel between lesions and skin aging.
On the other hand, this therapy also associates a volumizing effect. It helps replace the volumes that we lose in the face over time. Thus providing a smoother and more turgid appearance.
The procedure consists of infiltrating the skin with materials with the capacity to work as a biostimulator. Some of the best known are polylactic acid, calcium hydroxyapatite and platelet-rich plasma.
Important mention to the last one, I will explain more…
Platelet biostimulation: a more natural option
A couple of concepts to situate ourselves:
-
- The platelets are one of the main components of blood along with red blood cells, white blood cells and certain proteins. When activated, they release various substances that have very important functions in the body.
- One of these substances is growth factors, which among other things induce the proliferation of fibroblasts (they create collagen and elastin). They also increase the synthesis of hyaluronic acid (gives volume and hydrates the skin).
What then is facial platelet biostimulation?
First we get some blood from the patient and process it during the same session in the clinic. Without getting into technicalities, we centrifuge it with specific parameters to be able to separate a fraction of plasma concentrated in platelets.
We infiltrate this plasma into the face (in the areas to be treated) so that the platelets release the growth factors, which is what is going to act, as the before mentioned, as a biostimulator.
An important characteristic is that we are talking about an autologous product. That is, you are a donor and a recipient at the same time. This makes it very safe and the risk of allergies and adverse effects is minimal. It is not surprising that there is a growing demand for it.
A curious fact…
Since the person’s own blood is used, there are those who have already named this treatment as “facial vampire”. One of the Kardashian sisters it seems to be… Great for marketing, I guess.
Getting back to the topic, what’s going on?
According to how plasma is prepared, its effectiveness may vary. That is why, with the aim of achieving the best possible result, different processing systems have emerged.
One of the newest is EZGel.
The latest in facial biostimulation: EZGel
What is EZGel and how treatment improves
EZGel is a very last generation and proven biostimulant gel that we are offering at Cànons Clinics in Barcelona and Granollers. It is a very novel therapy due to its double effect: enhanced regeneration and immediate volumization.
I will explain to you.
The basis is that of the previous section. Platelet biostimulation using the patient’s blood. We activate repair mechanisms, fibroblasts, collagen, hyaluronic acid, etc., to correct imperfections and facial signs of aging.
What’s so special about EZGel compared to other similar therapies?
-
- Stem cells and more growth factors. The blood is treated in a very specific way to achieve a plasma that is even more concentrated in platelets. And with mesenchymal stem cells, which have regenerative potential.
- More sustained and lasting action. That plasma is processed so that a platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) clot is created. It allows a much more constant and prolonged release of growth factors.
- No additives. In traditional methods, certain compounds are used to prepare plasma. Not here. It is 100% autologous. And as for the fibrin clot, it is generated only with the blood components themselves.
- Serum albumin.
I stop at this fourth point, the most innovative.
This treatment involves using part of the blood taken from the patient to “isolate” albumin, the major protein in the bloodstream. We do not isolate it as such, but we make it adopt a particular molecular structure. The one that interests us.
This modified albumin combines with plasma PRF (you can see how we do it in the video) to form a gel that is what we infiltrate into the skin (the EZGel).
When applying it, the protein provides immediate volume, in addition to lengthening the biostimulation.
In what cases is it recommended to use EZGel?
EZGel It is similar to a dermal filler, but totally natural and very safe because it comes out of you. And how it is biostimulant, induces regenerative processes that reduce signs of aging on the face, scars and other imperfections.
Therefore…
-
- Do you want a comprehensive facial improvement and bring beauty and health to your appearance?
- Want to rejuvenate and correct sagging, wrinkles, lack of volume, etc.?
- All this naturally and effectively without synthetic materials or surgeries?
In these cases EZGel may be a good option for you.
Necessary sessions and results
EZGel applies alone 2 times a year.
At first there is an immediate volume effect from what I was telling you before the albumin. It is one of the main differences compared to other plasma therapies. After the first session you appreciate your face fresher and more turgid.
After there is one improvement in the subsequent 12 weeks as platelets release growth factors. “Signals” that are gradually sent to the cells so that they produce more collagen and elastin and of higher quality.
On the other hand, keep the following in mind:
-
- Facial biostimulation activates your own skin repair systems.
- The material we use is obtained from your blood.
This means that the results duration depend on your characteristics. Age, sex, skin type, pathologies, medication, diet, habits in general… influence.
At Cànons Clinics we address all these issues so that the effects of the treatment, although not for life, are maintained as long as possible.
Can it be combined with EZGel with other therapies?
According to the patient, yes, of course.
In Clinical Canons we associate biostimulation of EZGel especially with type peelings Retix C or energy-based systems such as radiofrequency with microneedles. Sometimes with other treatments for facial sagging.
It can also be combined with neuromodulators or hyaluronic acid if there are expression lines. Or for example in barcodes or very obvious wrinkles.
EZGel Is it the best for facial rejuvenation?
In medicine it is bold to say that something is the “best.”
Each person is different and one treatment or another may suit them better.
EZGel is ,let’s say, the alternative to lipofilling, since it provides both filling (immediate volume) and improved facial biostimulation. In addition, preparing plasma from blood is much easier than obtaining fat.
At Cànons Clinics we are relegating lipofilling to patients who come for other matters and who, due to their circumstances, can take advantage of this technique.
Regarding other biostimulators such as polylactic acid and calcium hydroxyapatite, EZGel has the advantage that it is an autologous product. It comes from you, for you. If you don’t want anything synthetic, is there anything more natural than that?
The equipment we use to prepare EZGel. Minicentrifuge, test tubes…
If you are considering facial biostimulation…
I remember a patient.
He told me: “See, doctor, I want to be younger and more beautiful, but there are so many aesthetic treatments that you don’t even know what to ask for.”
Facial biostimulation is one of the many options today to treat signs of aging and improve the appearance of the face. The effects we are seeing at Cànons Clinics with EZGel in our patients from 25-30 years old are fabulous.
